Piet Heymans was appointed as CEO for SARPA when it was founded in 1998. Heymans captained the South African U/20s in 1987 with Francois Pienaar and Joel Stransky in the side. He has a BA (Honours) in political science and industrial sociology from Pretoria University. He became involved in the trade union movement through the Trade Union Federation, FEDSAL, currently known as Fedusa, later served on the EXCO of Cosatu and in 1994 had accompanied the well-known Mr Sam Shilowa and the then Minister of Labour, Mr Tito Mboweni, to the International Labour Organisations’ meeting in Geneva, Switzerland.

Thys Stoltz played 163 provincial matches during his career, starting with the Bulls in 1996; he also played for the SWD Eagles, the Pumas and Western Province. He left South-Africa in 2002 to further his career in France, where he played for Bordeaux, Bourgoin and Bayonne, before coaching at Massy, Agen and Marseille. Stoltz also worked as a broker at Upstream Financial Services and is currently finishing his degree in Sports Management.

Nyaniso Sam has qualifications in Sports Management and Sports Communications from the University of Johannesburg and Varsity College. His qualifications and personal skills will be ideal for uplifting sports in communities and developing strategies in marketing sports teams and brands. Previously he worked for Touchline, the University of Johannesburg Sports Bureau, Worldwide Sports and Magna Carta Public Relations.
